· Bajaj Auto Limited is all set to launch a new motorcycle goes by the name Pulsar RS400 in Indonesia.
· Initially it was named Bajaj Pulsar SS400 when it was showcased in 2014 auto Expo.
· The elder sibling of the RS200 is going to have a new body fairing and lower saddle height.
· Bajaj has completed the required documentation needed with Indonesian Government to launch the motorcycle.
Bajaj Auto has a new plan which goes by the name Bajaj Pulsar RS400 for this upcoming August, the Pulsar RS200 is going to have an elder sibling soon. It was initially known by the name of Pulsar SS400 when it was showcased in the 2014 Auto Expo.
The Pulsar RS400 is recently in the production line up and Bajaj has already completed the required documentation with the Indonesian Government and all ready to launch the 400 cc motorcycle. It’s sad that we won’t be able to see the motorcycle soon as the reports speaks out that Bajaj is going to launch RS400 in Indonesia for now.
As by now you would have guessed that RS will be embedded with D400 but somethings might get augmented, D400 produces a maximum power of 40 PS @ 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 35 Nm @ 7000 rpm from its 373.3 cc DOHC, four valves, single cylinder, liquid cooled, triple spark engine with fuel injection and 6-speed gear arrangement. although the engine is BS6 compliant, it is expected that the engine will surely receive gift of upgrades before being integrated in RS400.
As for the looks, the motorcycle is expected to have a new body work and design than its younger sibling’s perimeter frame. The Pulsar RS200 is a racing sports motorcycle from Bajaj but it doesn’t attract audience as it was expected. Correcting those mistakes and to grab more audience attention, Bajaj is going to sculpt new design for the motorcycle with lower saddle height and a smooth riding comfort. Nitrox mono suspension, split seat and grab rail for the pillion passenger, a fully digital console like Dominar 400 and LED headlamps along with LED DRLs.
Details about the price is still unknown but it is expected be around 1.80 lakhs to 2.10 lakhs and moreover there are no news about the launch of the motorcycle in India in the near future. But as a home grown brand we expect the motorcycle to be seen on Indian roads soon.
