Ducati Scrambler DesertX


•Last year Ducati unveiled the Ducati Scrambler DessertX and Ducati Scrambler Motard or Ducati Scrambler Supermoto Concept in the Milan Motorcycle Show as a prototype held in Italy.
•This rally raid style machine pays tribute to the rally racer Edi Orioli who drove the Ducati-powered Cagiva Elefant and achieves victory at 1990 Dakar Rally.
•Ducati Scrambler DesertX comprises of large fuel tanks both in front and at the back.
•The Ducati Scrambler Motard is based on the 803cc Scrambler.
•The CEO of Ducati, Claudio has stated that their design department were asked to create something unprecedented but entirely possible which resulted in the creation of the Ducati Scrambler Motard.

Ducati Scrambler Motard/Ducati Scrambler Supermoto


Ducati Motor Holding is a renowned name popularly known for its amazing motorcycle and its manufacturing, last year Ducati unveiled two scramblers as prototypes – Ducati Scrambler DesertX and Ducati Scrambler Motard in the Milan Motorcycle Show which was held in Italy.


Ducati Scrambler DessertX


The Ducati Scrambler DesertX is a retro-styled adventure motorcycle because its looks remind us of the Cagiva Elefant motorcycle which was driven the 1990 Dakar Rally, this adventurer motorcycle is a tribute to the rally racer Edi Orioli who drove the Cagiva to achievement.

1079cc of air-cooled two-valve Desmodromic L-twin engine

The motorcycle is powered from a 1079cc of air-cooled two-valve Desmodromic L-twin engine that is used in the current Scrambler 1100 that produces a high power of 86 hp at 7500 rpm and 65 ft-lbs of torque at 4750 rpm.


It has a 21 inch front spoked wheels and 18 inch rear spoked wheels with 8.3 inches of long travel suspension and Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires.

It has front and back fuel tanks

It has ground clearance of about 275 mm and a weight of about 190 kg. DesertX has extra fuel caps as it has front as well as rear fuel tanks which is split into two, left and right compartments fuel tank capacity of 30 liters, it has two round LED headlights and tall windscreen which clearly states that the motorcycle is inspired from Cagiva Elefant.

Its console has a TFT screen which enables to navigate, smart phone connectivity. It was a prototype at the Milan Motorcycle Show but it seems like Ducati is willing to bring this retro-model into production soon.


Ducati Scrambler Motard


The Motard is based on the 800 cc Scrambler, the CEO of Ducati, Claudio has stated that their design department were asked to create something unprecedented but entirely possible and that resulted in the creation of the Ducati Scrambler Motard.

803cc air-cooled L-twin engine


The Motard is equipped with 803cc air-cooled L-twin engine which produces a power of 73 hp and a peak torque of about 67 Nm. It has 17 inch spoked wheels, single-disc break, upswept exhaust system, chopped front fender and the motorcycle has a weight of about 416lbs,
