Ford Mustang Cobra, a car which is known for its roar on the drag racing tracks has now become silent, which means that the car will now swipe by you silently with maximum power of 1400 hp before you notice it. For the first time in the 50-years history of Ford Mustang Cobra Jet, the roaring monster will make silent moves, Ford Performance has re-added an old member of the Mustang Family with new updates which doesn’t drink a drop of fuel and with whole electric propulsion, Ford’s new Mustang Cobra Jet which is a “Silent Monster” dragster.


It is a prototype in which the thumping heart is replaced by a battery capable to produce a maximum power of 1400 hp and a 1495 nm of peak torque approximately in a blink of an eye. Ford claims that it is projected that the EV can hurricane a low-eight-second quarter-mile at 270 kmph. Dave Pericak, the Global Director of Ford Icons has said that the electric powertrains have given completely new kind of performance and has pushed the new technologies to absolute limits. This development of the Mustang Cobra Jet has included other companies as motor and inverter tech from Cascadia, motor calibrations and software support from AEM EV, vehicle design and building services from MLE Racecars and development of the chassis and roll cage from Watson Engineering.

Ford Performance will continue to test the Mustang Cobra 1400, the car will make its debut later this year at a drag racing where this will show its capabilities to its fans, media and competitors. Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 has advanced the Mustang heritage to new heights after Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV as well as it represents and honors the original Cobra Jet which used to dominate its competitors in the 1960s.
