A feeling of happiness ran among the fans of Kawasaki when the news took a wide spread about the official launch of Ninja ZX-25R by a digital event on July 10, 2020. Though it gave us a little wait but no doubt it was the most predicted Kawasaki motorcycle. The motorcycle was scheduled to launch in Indonesia at the Kawasaki Bike Week in April but the COVID 19 outbreak postponed the plans.
For now, Kawasaki has put some limitations to the motorcycle, like the first batch will only contain 200 units, it will be available for pre-booking and that too for two days (11th and 12th July) in Indonesia only. Report says that Kawasaki New Zealand will also be taking pre bookings orders. Later Kawasaki will take orders from other parts of the country, no particular date for that is given till now.
Kawasaki claims that Ninja ZX-25R will going to be the most powerful in the 250cc segment motorcycle in the world. The motorcycle in mated with a power plant of 249cc in-line 4-cylinder engine that puts a power output of 24 PS of maximum power at 15,350 rpm and gives a 20.8 Nm of peak torque at 12,700 rpm. The motorcycle is expected set an average of 25 kmpl, the motorcycle can dash from 0 to 100 kmph in a little less than 6 seconds and can attain a top speed of 165 kmph.
The motorcycle will be available in two variants, ABS version and non-ABS version that will vary accordingly from top model to base model. Kawasaki has put a price tag of IDR 64.8 million (₹3.34 lakh) to the base spec model and IDR 73.2 million (₹3.78 lakh) to the top spec model.
In comparison to the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 250 that holds the price tag of IDR 64.1 million (₹3.31 lakh approx.) for the base model, Ninja ZX-25R holds a higher value because of its sophisticated technicality. The price and power info are from the leaked source as Kawasaki hasn’t reveal the price or the full technical specs about the motorcycle.
No clue of Ninja ZX-25R to enter the Indian market, and also isn’t expected to enter in the future, as the audience fits the power and premiumness of the motorcycle with displacement.
