Triton Solar is a New Jersey based privately held energy solution and technology company founded by Himanshu B. Patel and launched in 2012. The moto of this company is to find technological solutions of how the world creates, stores and uses its energy which also wraps up the EV field in the process. Following their plans, Triton Solar has revealed its first automobile, an eight seater EV SUV which is in the talks of having twice the range of Tesla Model 3 known as Triton Model H SUV.

When we speak about EV, it’s all about how far the vehicle can go in a single charge and this SUV has an exceptionally long range, in short you can say the beast of EVs. According to the company the car will come in two variants, base level Model H and Model H Performance. The base level Model H is integrated with a 150 kWh battery pack which has an efficiency of 500+ miles in a single charge and Triton claims to have a maximum of 1000 hp of power while the Model H Performance is integrated with a 200 kWh battery pack which has an efficiency of 700+ miles in a single charge and has a maximum of 1500 hp of power. The SUV is claimed to be capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds. Both the models will be all-wheel drive, four motors will be equipped for each wheel of the SUV, while the car itself will have 3493 kg of weight, the base Model H will have the capacity to tow 6985 kg of weight while the Model H Performance will have the capacity of to tow 11795 kg of weight.

The inside of the vehicle is as attractive as the outside, it has digital screens on the dashboard with a futuristic looking center console and two rear display screen for the rear passenger seats. Smart air suspension, electronically controlled vents of air cooling, 200 cubic feet of storage capacity and 10 years/150000 miles warranty. If we observe closely, Tesla vehicles are more efficient than Model H as Model H offers a large range with a large battery pack while Tesla vehicles offer higher miles per kWh.

The Triton Solar has made the car available for free booking on their official website, by depositing an amount of $5000 (₹3,82,600) one can confirm the booking of the car, the additional $1,35,000 is to be deposited within next five business days to confirm the final reservations. The base Model H will be around $140,000 (₹1,07,15,000 ex-showroom price) and the Model H Performance will be around $180,000 (₹1,37,75,000 ex-showroom price), the first 100 customers will get a Founder’s Edition in which unique additions will be added up to the standard specifications of the car and it will never be manufactured again. The Model H EV SUV is truly an amazing car, and by following the specification revealed, it will become longest range EV to run this much in a single charge.
