TVS iQube

After Bajaj Chetak by Bajaj Auto, the homegrown TVS Motor Company has launched its highly awaited electric scooter iQube at Rs 1.15 lakhs (on road, Bengaluru) and has entered the electric scooter space. The model will be sold in its home market Banglore across 10 dealerships before launching it in other cities. The company has installed a production of 1000 units per month for the new iQube.

4.4 kW electric motor | 6 bhp | torque 140 Nm | top speed 78 kmph


Now coming to its specification, the TVS iQube is powered by 4.4 kW electric motor that charges from nix to full in 5 hours, develops about 6 bhp and a pinnacle torque output of 140 Nm. The scooter has a top speed of 78 kmph, promises a range of 75 km on a single charge and can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 4.2 seconds. It weighs 118 kg (kerb weight).

The SmartXonnect tech gives us platform to access to multiple functions and features.


The new TVS iQube comes with SmartXonnect connected tech platform with TFT cluster, mobile app, LED DRL with a LED headlamps and taillight. It has remarkable features such as multi drive modes, park assist, day and night display and regenerative braking. It also has multiple functions such as remote battery charge status, last park location, incoming call/SMS alert, geo-fencing for safety, navigation assist and over speed alert among others. It has black alloy wheels and has a dual-tone look on the front and the windshield.

According to Venu Srinivasan, the Chairman of TVS Motor Company, the battery management systems, software development and even the electric motor that powers the iQube all are designed and developed completely in India by TVS and is the most connected electricity vehicle on Indian roads. It is embodied with drivetrain and next-gen TVS SmartXonnect platform.


The TVS iQube Electric goes up against the Bajaj Chetak and Ather 450 along with Okinawa Praise.
