Yamaha Force 155 Gets Updated

· Yamaha has updated the Force 155 for selected Asian automotive markets for now.
· With almost same engine configuration, Yamaha has sold Majesty S155 in few markets.
· Instead of Force 155, India will be getting an alternative maxi scooter known as Yamaha NMax 155.
News surrounds that Yamaha has updated its maxi scooter Force 155 which was also sold as Yamaha Majesty S155 in few markets. The updated Yamaha Force 155 will enter the selected Asian markets with a new color scheme of silver and black dual-tone along with the continued offer of gloss black, matte black and white colors.
The maxi scooter features twin-halogen headlamps, full LCD instrument console and tachometer. Force 155 will be integrated with 13-inch alloy wheels which telescopic fork front suspension, petal discs of 267 mm at front and 245 mm at rear will take the braking responsibility.
The power and torque figures are still unknown but its power plant is a 155 cc 4-valve liquid-cooled single cylinder engine. As Majesty S155 has the same power source, we can expect the magnitude somewhat same. It generates a maximum power of 14.96 PS and a peak torque of 14 Nm with a claimed fuel efficiency of 35.8kmpl.
India won’t be seeing the maxi scooter Yamaha Force 155 soon, however, as an alternative plan, Yamaha will offer NMax 155 for Indian automotive market. Yamaha has launched NMax 155 in Indonesian market last year where the maxi scooter is mated with the same 155 cc single cylinder engine with VVA technology as in the R15 V3.0 motorcycle. The engine puts out 15.36 PS of max power and peak torque of 13.9 Nm and features traction control and Y-Connect (Yamaha’s smartphone connectivity system).
As a maxi scooter we expect the same specs in India with updates as the maxi scooters are gaining demand with time. If NMax 155 runs successfully on Indian roads, then Yamaha can hope for a promising result of Force 155.
