• Yamaha has unveiled a maxi scooter in Japan known as Yamaha Majesty S and now plans to launch it in India.
• It is a sporty looking maxi scooter with 155 cc single cylinder 4 valve engine that returns a fuel economy of 40 kmpl.
• The maxi scooter will come with an expected price of ₹2.38 lakhs (ex-showroom).
After the unveiling of Majesty S in Japan, the Japanese automobile manufacturer Yamaha has plans for launching the 155 cc maxi scooter in India by August this year. Majesty S is a sporty designed maxi scooter by Yamaha, as maxi scooters are gaining popularity and gradually becoming a topic of high demand in Indian automobile market, Yamaha has set its plans and goals for the Majesty S.
The Majesty S is integrated with a 155 cc single cylinder 4 valve engine which produces a maximum power of 11 Kw at 7500 rpm and can generate a 14 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The engine is equipped with fuel injection and it is water cooled, has a 145 kg of weight, 7.4 liters of fuel capacity and can return a fuel economy of 40 kmpl as claimed by the company.
Besides power, Majesty has a mind blowing design which is impossible for almost anyone to deny. With sporty looks it has a mounted sporty LED headlight with projectors for high beam and conventional reflector for low beam, LED DRL strips and tail lights with side indicators. The rise of the seat, alloy wheels, sporty designed exhaust and muscular appeal of the scooter makes it an eye catching vehicle on the road. It also come along with semi-digital instrument cluster which displays speedometer, trip meter, clock etc, tachometer at the middle, fuel meter at the left and tell-tale lights. Some additional features like spacious under seat storage and front pocket, aluminum hook, 12V DC socket, front fuel filler cap and dual disc brakes.
Yamaha Majesty S comes in four different colors, silky white, metallic black, metallic grey and vivid yellow, the price is expected to be ₹2.38 lakhs (ex-showroom). The scooter was scheduled to be in India by 10 April 2020 but the schedule could change because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
