After the phenomenal success of the retro classic Interceptor 650 and the cafe racer Continental GT 650, Royal Enfield is all throttle up to debut a brand new scrambler which will be their third 650 cc platform motorcycle after the two motorcycles which were launched two years ago. But their plan for 650 cc platform won’t be going to stop there, another motorcycle of 650 cc is in the line of action after the scrambler, Royal Enfield Himalayan 650.
According to the reports emerged, Royal Enfield plans to bring a new lineup in the 650 cc segment along with the launch of other three new products this year or early next year. By the looks of the growing trend of scrambler in India, the motorcycle is expected to have an exceptionally amazing looks to seek attention on roads with modern equipment and styling to attract the young audience and bike enthusiasts.
Royal Enfield is preparing to update its 650 cc segment portfolio, having high expectations from the scrambler model, the 650 cc motorcycle is most probably going to make an entry in the showrooms by early 2021. The 650 cc scrambler will be powered by the same 648 cc parallel twin air cooled engine used in Interceptor and Continental GT, having 270 degree firing order and single overhead camshaft which produces a high power of 47.65 hp @ 7250 rpm and a peak torque of 52 Nm @ 5250 rpm, and is paired with 6-speed transmission gearbox.
The Interceptor and Continental GT will share most of its features with Scrambler, beside BS6 engine no major updates are received by the motorcycles. Pricing of the motorcycle is unknown but it will be kept by putting in view of the other two 650 cc motorcycles, one can expect to have a more affordable price than its rival motorcycles.
